Janet Maitland celebrates 30 years of business in June 2009.
We have always taken our old towels to Stray-Aid in Durham but now we use environmentally friendly disposable towels so any clients/friends who would like to bring clean towels/blankets to the salon, we will deliver them to the animal refuge.
March 2009 - The team organised and completed a sponsored walk from the salon to Durham Cathedral to raise over £2000 for a bore hole and water pump for a school in Africa. The orphans now have access to clean drinking water and don't have travel an hour a day for something we take for granted. The whole village will benefit from the clean water.
May 2009 Suzanne Hegarty wins a place on the Tigi Inspirational Youth 2009 team in London.
May 2009 Janet Maitland Artistic Youth Team wins 2 awards in regional photographic competition.
2009 sees the formation of the Janet Maitland artisitc youth team.
The refit of the Hetton Salon is now complete. The salon is equipped with the latest designs in furniture and equpment from Barcelona.
We are planning to covert the first floor of the Hetton Salon into a photographic studio.
In 2008 Richard was part of The L’ORÉAL I.D. Team and worked alongside top industry names such as Trevor Sorbie.
